In what was the third attack in three weeks in the Tzaneen area, five suspects, armed with knives and pangas, gained entry to the house.
The domestic worker was tied up and the house ransacked.
According to the domestic worker, the suspects talked about stabbing her but never did.
The safe was broken off from the wall but they couldn’t open it and left it behind.
Property was stolen but at the moment it is still unclear what exactly is gone.
Three Northern Security guards, Sam Shivuri, Pieter Venter and Lefty Malamela was the first on the scene, followed by the SAPS.
No arrests have been made.
