Eskom gives to the disadvantaged

Eskom donated R15 000 to the Reholegile Drop-In Centre at Lenyenye.

Reholegile Drop-In Centre is a non profit organization which accommodates homeless children and children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“With the R15 000 donated to us by Eskom we bought chairs, tables, cooking utensils, cutlery, and laundry materials to help these children and make things easier for them” said Linah Letsoalo, the centre’s manager. On June 17, Eskom was officially handing over all those goods bought with the money they donated to the centre. “We are very happy with the donation made by Eskom to us” added Letsoalo.

The children at the centre entertained the crowd with Sarafina and Mango Groove dances. Among the people who attended were the ward councilor and officials from Eskom and Department of Social Development and the community.
