Xyza top of the class again
Xyza Stander a former student at Stanford Lake College completed her 3 year undergraduate degree in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Johannesburg in 2014.
During her studies Xyza received a Golden Key award and she was invited to join the Ugenius club in recognition of her excellence in achieving high grades over the three years. Xyza graduated Cum Laude at a ceremony at the University on March 23.
Xyza was also invited to attend a ceremony at the Johannesburg Country Club, held by the Economics and Econometrics department to receive an award for excellent achievement in Econometrics where she placed 2nd overall with an average of 89 % as well as an award for Meritorious performance in Economics where she was placed 1st overall in her field of study amongst 150 students, with an average of 84%. Jacqui Towell from the company Genesis Analytics, the largest employer of economists and econometricians in SA, handed over the certificates on behalf of UJ as well as Genesis.
With Xyza’s grounding at Stanford Lake College she is presently studying to complete her Honours year at the University of Pretoria, from where she intends to spread her wings into the corporate world abroad.
