Children receive new school uniforms

The Archbishop Thabo Cecil Makgoba Development Trust Fund from Cape Town handed over new school uniforms to Scholz Primary Farm School recently.

The school is close to the R71 Road to Polokwane in Makgoebaskloof. It was a joyous day as the learners could not stop smiling. They received a full set of uniforms, the boys pack came with a pair of trousers while the girls got a school skirt.

Archbishop Thabo of Anglican Church in the Cape said they chose the school because of the shear ruins of the farm and community. He added that as a Makgoba child, he felt it was his duty to give back.

‘We are planting a seed by giving to the less privileged and showing the children that we love them,’ he said. The Archbishop said it gives him joy to see children happy: ‘It brings a smile to my face and touches the child in me.’ The school principal Mamphela Kgoahla expressed her feelings and how thankful she was for the donation. ‘We are very happy that they chose our school, they could have chosen any other school but we feel grateful that they chose us,’ she said. Kgoahla said they are even thinking of writing a thank you letter.
