Learners were searched for dangerous weapons and taught about crime prevention.
The visitors also donated school uniforms to two learners, Rhoda Ngobeni and Samuel Modiba.
Tzaneen police spokesperson, Constable Glenda Maimele said police confiscated 24 cell phones from learners during the search.
Maimele said the reason for choosing the school was because police received complaints about criminal activities taking place at the school.
It was reported that learners are using drugs, involved in fighting and assaulting each other, disrupting lessons, vandalising school property and bullying.
She said police intervened by making surprise visits to the school in the mornings with members of dog unit to search learners.
She said although they succeeded to normalise the situation at the school they will continue to monitor the school.
