Police in Maake are still following up on suspects inthe brutal murder of a security guard at Moyakayaka Village outside Lenyenye Township on Saturday.

Police in Maake are still following up on suspects inthe brutal murder of a security guard at Moyakayaka Village outside Lenyenye Township on Saturday.

According to police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, a 50 year old man was found killed with a bullet wound to his chest at his workplace. “It is alleged that the owner of the shop arrived and found that

the deceased was not there and he started looking for him until he found his body in the toilet with his firearm missing. He immediately summoned the police to the scene” said Ngoepe.’ The motive behind the killing is not clear because the shop was not broken into and nothing was stolen except the firearm. The deceased is identified as Johannes Matlou of Moyakayaka Village. Police investigations are continuing.

“South African Police Service is making a special appeal to all community members and the surrounding areas to come forward with information which may lead to the arrest of these suspects.
