FAMSA hosts workshop
FAMSA Limpopo will be hosting a workshop presented by the Restorative Justice Centre from March 2 to 6.
It will be at 08:00 to 16:00 from Monday to Thursday and ons Friday from 08:00 to 13:00 at their offices: 8 Second Avenue Medipark.The 5 day workshop will cover the topics:
Mediation concepts skills & techniques and Understanding restorative justice internationally and in South Africa.
The workshop is aimed at professionals interested in the following issues:
The needs of victims, offenders and communities
Links to the ADR field
Application in the criminal justice system
Domestic violence
Sexual offences and schools
Types of conflict and conflict styles
Communication skills for mediation
A 6 step mediation model
The training is experiential in that it draws on the participants’ own previous experience and also uses DVD material, refers to current policy, case studies and literature.
