Modjadji Plaza held its first annual Mr. and Miss Mdjadji Plaza on Saturday.
The aim of the event is to do a fundraiser for food parcels to be donated to the needy families as tokens for the festive season.
“The entry fee is R20 plus a one of canned food. The money will help buy basic foods for families that cannot afford. After this fundraising we will identify families then donate the food parcels to them” said Stephanie Ras, Modjadji Plaza centre manager.
On December 19, Modjadji Plaza is hosting a Christmas promotion where there will be fundraising and at the same day they will be donating food parcels to families. The day was a huge success and community members responded positively as they came in large numbers.
The beauty contests were divided into age categories and there are two Miss and one Mr. Modjadji Plaza.
