Plasies attend Farmer’s Day

Four Plasie farmers-to-be attended a very interesting Farmers Day at ZZ2 on Saturday November 1.

FOUR Plasie farmers-to-be attended a very interesting Farmers Day at ZZ2 on Saturday November 1.

Xander Botha, Timothy Venter, Laryn Prins and aspiring Plasie, Jessica Botha spent the day learning all they could from mentors in the PinZ²yl and Pinzgauer cattle industry.

Paul Bester introduced the new mentorship programme, where study groups such as Merensky High School will in future focus on demonstrations and training.

Many interesting topics were discussed by Messrs Rodney Stevens, Albert Noffke, and Jacob Oosthuizen. Mr Francois de Chalain demonstrated the criteria for selecting stud animals.
