Striking municipal workers in Tzaneen went on rampage burning tyres at the entrance of the municipal offices and trashing rubbish bins in town leaving streets littered with garbage this morning October 13.

The workers, mostly members of South African Municipal Workers Union (Samwu) are protesting over salary disparities.

It is alleged that striking workers man handed and intimidated non-striking workers into joining them.
