Post Offices in Tzaneen and the surrounding areas remain closed as workers joined a nation wide strike for better salary and permanent posts for temporary employees.
As a result of the strike, which started on Wednesday in Tzaneen critical services such as the delivery of mail and banking have been halted .
According to the statement issued by SA Post Office, the management is in daily discussions with all the stakeholders including, organised labour to end the strike, and is implementing contingency plans to minimise inconvenience to customers.
The post office’s call centre is also closed and customers are requested to send an e-mail to socialmedia@postoffice.co.za to enquire about mail items.
They should include a tracking number with their enquiry.
