An awesome performance by a spirited Maweni United earned them R6 500 at the weekend at Nkambako sports ground.
On Saturday, Maweni beat Jasi FC 9-8 on penalties to win the Top 4 Soccer Tournament. This followed a 2-2 stalemate in regulation time.
In the first game, Maweni United overcame New Castle 2-0 while Jasi defeated Musiphane Barcelona 6-5 on penalty- shootout.

The prize money for Saturday was R 3 500.
On Sunday, Maweni continued were they left off on Saturday to win 5-4 on penalties against Mamitwa Combination following a 0-0 draw.
In the first game on Sunday, Maweni won 4-3 against Jasi following a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
Jasi suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat against Nwamitwa Combination in the other game.
