Local farm teams ‘fish’ for the top spot

Four local farm soccer teams are through to the provincial finals of the Mark Fish Foundation organised Game of Stars tournament to take place in Polokwane on December 1.

Westfalia Evenrond, Mahela Group, Westfalia Agric and Laeveld Sitrus came out tops from a total of 16 teams registered for the single elimination play-offs to determine the top four teams that will go through to the provincial finals.

Westfalia Evenrod were crown the Mopani West District champions after narrowly defeating Mahela 2-1 in the finals. A whopping 48 goals were scored over the two days.
