The best of Limpopo’s sitting volleyball teams invaded Tzaneen with the hopes of becoming the champions.
The Capricorn Sitting Volleyball Team, were crowned Limpopo title-holders at the Nkowankowa Sports Centre outside Tzaneen on Saturday July 28.
The defending champions retained their title after beating the Thoyandou Sitting Volleyball Team 2-1 in the finals.

The hosting team, Tzaneen, was knocked-out 2-0 by the champs in the semi-finals.
“We are excited about our win and we are also looking forward to the national games in November,”explained Kedibone Malematja, Chairperson of Paravolley Limpopo.
The sport is a new paralympic sport in the country which is basically volleyball played seated, it is fast growing momentum as more teams are being formed in all provinces.
According to Paravolley South Africa, Limpopo has the largest numbers of clubs in the country.
The winning team took home a box of tekkies, a trophy and gold medals and the first runner up also received a box of tekkies with silver medals.
Limpopo will be hosting the national championships in Dzanani near Makhado from November 2-4.
Each province will be represented by two of its best teams in the nationals, however, Limpopo as the hosts, has been allowed to bring along three teams.
“More teams must be created, so that the sports can grow,”Said Tlako Ramushu, Deputy Director of Infrastructure and Special Programs in the Department of Sports.
The Tzaneen team pleads to the community for financial assistance towards their equipment and kit.
