Local filling station celebrated its first anniversary in style with the community and local dignitaries from the Greater Letaba Municipality.
Shell Ga-Kgapane Crossing Filling Station took this opportunity to introduce a new venture to people, the Smokehouse Diner and Sports Bar Restaurant.

People came out to celebrate this occasion with the Shell staff and owners of the Smokehouse Diner and Sports Bar.
Balloons went up into the air as soon as the ribbon was cut and the kids had a clown and a jumping castle to keep them entertained throughout the course of the event.
The Restaurant and Sports Bar opened its doors with a round of champagne and a happy hour of free drinks for the people present.
John Modjela, business partner and coowner of the two businesses came out to grace the evening and to make sure people were happy by extending “happy hour” with another 30 minutes of free drinks.
The bar and restaurant area is family friendly and the owners, Francois Mentz and Dirk Liebenberg are hoping on extending it in order to offer a permanent playing area for children.
“Hopefully with time, we can expand this back area, set it up nicely and put up a permanent playing area for the kids. Seeing the turnout of people this evening, it give us a sense of indication that we have done well to come here and offer people such a nice and relaxed place to have a bit of chilled time at,” stated Mentz.

The vicinity in itself accommodates the idea of an expansion and with what seems to have been a great start, Ga-Kgapane might just be the new talk of the town, all thanks to new ventures and new partnerships that are set on bringing flavour to locals.
So when stopping to fill up your tank at the garage, remember to pop into the shop and grab something for the kids.
“Also, when looking for a relaxed place to have a drink or two, you now have Smokehouse Diner and Sports Bar restaurant right here,” Mentz concluded.
