GALLERY UPDATE: Chaos as elephant strolls on main road

A rogue elephant caused havoc on the Mica/Hoedspruit road in the early hours of Monday morning when it was strolling leisurely on the main road in the direction of Hoedspruit.

According to a post made by Craig Spencer, head warden of Balule Nature Reserve,  on a popular Hoedspruit Town social media page,  the reserve would like to extend its gratitude to Farm Watch of Hoedspruit and Transfrontier Africa for assisting the wardens in returning the elephants back to the Greater Kruger this morning.
Both bulls were successfully returned with minimal hassle.
According to Spencer, the drought is going to cause many more incidents of animals moving beyond the boundaries of protected areas in search of resources, (water and food).

‘Thanks again to everyone,’ he said
