Great news for Letaba FPA members

The Letaba Fire Protection Association recently signed a seven year contract with the Working on Fire Programme.

The Letaba Fire Protection Association recently signed a seven year contract with the Working on Fire Programme.

Being in partnership for the past ten years, this contract confirms a mutual understanding between the two parties.

Part of the contract states certain production outputs to be completed during the year by the Working on Fire team.

These include making fire breaks, prescribed burning, invasive vegetation clearing, manual fuel load reduction, road maintenance, soil erosion and conservation activities.

Members of the Letaba Fire Protection Association are welcome to make use of this service.

Labour fees do not have to be paid. Only the transport cost from the base to the farm and back need to be paid. It works on a first call first serve basis.
