Jeany makes women beautiful for a living

Make-up artist, Jeany Ndlovu, can refer to her brief suspension at work last year, as a blessing in disguise, as it was the birth of Jeany's Beauty Makeover.

Being an independent woman, she could not bear the thought of having no income and she looked for different ways of making money.

She started baking and selling biscuits, but because it wasn’t her passion she quit in less than a month of starting.

“I started praying and asking God for direction and eventually one day I woke up and told my husband that I was starting a YouTube channel teaching people how to do makeup.

“I started advertising makeup classes and only three people pitched for that class.

“I felt dejected, but I conducted the class anyway and the ladies were happy with the lesson,”she explained.

Her troubles were far from over as she had to wait another three months without any clients.

She resorted to calling people for free makeup, just to keep her brand out there.

Out of nowhere her fortunes changed and clients started flocking from all directions, since then she hardly has a weekend without bookings.

As a result Ndlovu is now a house hold name in the Tzaneen area, for making women look like Hollywood stars.

The self-taught artist is now overwhelmed by the love she is receiving from the public.

“I used to think that this is for people with huge following on Instagram and not me a girl from Nkowankowa.

“I’m grateful to my supporters, because without them there wouldn’t be Jeany’s Makeover,’ she also added.

She recently hosted another class at Tzaneen Country Lodge, which was a great success and is she told the Herald that her dream is to have her own make-up spa and create employment for others.

Her services include bridal, babyshower, photoshoot or any occasion makeup.
