Association’s financial admin manager granted R5000 bail

The 33-year-old woman who was arrested on Wednesday, 24 February by the Hawks' Serious Commercial Crime Investigation members for allegedly defrauding her employer of over R1.6 million has been granted R5000 bail.

Annelize Holtzhausen appeared before Hoedspruit Periodical Court today, 25 February to face fraud charges.

According to Hawks spokesperson Capt Matimba Maluleke it is alleged that between 28 January 2019 and 24 October 2019, Holtzhausen was employed as a financial administration manager at Zandspruit Homeowners Association NPC situated in Hoedspruit.

“It is further alleged that the suspect created fictitious claims as if there were services rendered to the company and transferred the money into her own bank account as well as her husband’s account. These alleged financial shenanigans were discovered when the company was audited,” said Maluleke.

Her case was postponed to 31 March 2021.
