HATS OFF to our local police who persisted in their investigation into the alleged fraudster who operated a bogus college in the Tzaneen area and scrupulously exploited students.

Education is the most important pillar for our future and people who abuse the system or mislead our education hungry youth should be pursued mercilessly and subjected to the full might of the law.

This will hopefully send a strong discouraging message to other bogus operators who operate without accreditation and who exploit uninformed students who are eventually rewarded with useless qualifications.

Congratulations to the investigating team and we trust their success will motivate their colleagues to exhibit the same dedication and commitment to assure other fraudsters and criminals are removed from society and end up behind bars.

STRIKES have become a part of our daily lives. It is every worker’s constitutional right to strike. However, it is nobody’s right to strike in a way that causes damage, destruction or disruption to other people’s lives.

Our municipal workers are on strike (again!) and in the process they cause major destruction, damage property and disrupt the lives of law abiding citizens. This is not part of your right! The best and democratic, civilized way to demonstrate your concerns and disagreement is through the ballot.

Vote your way to a better future by showing the politicians your discontent and disagreement. In the process property will not be destroyed and the lives of law abiding, innocent citizens will not be disrupted by hooligans and uncivilized workers who show no respect to others!
