Are you ready for the experience?

Things are now reaching boiling point at the IINFO Office in Tzaneen where the super exiting line up for this year’s Taste of Tzaneen has been finalized!

This annual event will again be presented by Iinfo Events and hosted at Fairview Hotel in Tzaneen, from Thursday 31 October to Saturday 2 November.

The program is loaded with a great variety of exhibitions, live performances, theatre , entertainment , discussion platforms, interviews , demonstrations, competitions, the very popular food theatre , wine , gin and craft beer tastings,delicatessen, cheese, clothing and jewellery, interior and exterior décor, live music and much more ! Highlights this year include the following: The opening ceremony of the Taste of Tzaneen 2019,a summer ball, which will comprise of a cocktail dinner and dance, will follow the formalities of the awards evening, and everyone will be able to socialize and enjoy the rest of the evening in a festive spirit.

This not to be missed event will be held in conjunction with the Tzaneen Community Forum, who will also be presenting their Heroes of Hope Awards.

The evening will be filled with fun and a magical line up of performances and entertainment, including the beautiful African vocalist – Ntsikwane, Maak my Famous runner up -Bernice West, Cabaret Artist and MC of the evening -Godfrey Johnson and most entertaining group from Cape Town – The Black Ties, who will all provide the most entertaining music on which you can dance or just enjoy the evening – all about celebrating our beautiful Limpopo Province. Then the SA Chefs Limpopo Committee will be hosting the Taste of Tzaneen senior and junior chefs’ competitions, running the food theatre and prepare various mouth-watering street food options and platters!A whole culinary experience can be expected this year at the Food Court during the Taste of Tzaneen.

“The Generals Evening”, where Roger Webster, well known historian, writer and radio presenter will share his most interesting knowledge about the Anglo Boer War, the Boer Generals and the rich history of the Anglo Boer War in our area, which will also be a most enriching experience.

Then a panel discussion with the well-known Chris Burgess from Landbouweek blad, and other high-profile stakeholders in our province, including farmers, ministers and business people will be held on Friday afternoon at 14h00, discussing the topic of Agriculture in the Mopani District. A pre-book launch and book review by the very talented writer Michele Meyer, will be conducted by Godfrey Johnson from the Urban Craft Magazine, where after me Meyer will also read parts of her beautiful prose to visitors who have an interest in fine literature.

Other highlights on the open stage on Friday will include Choir Mania, where local and school Choirs will show their talent. Performances later in the day on the open stage will be by Bernice West, Hanco, Martin Bester and the Black Ties. On Friday guests can also book tickets for productions in the Limpopo Theatre Hall,the Classical Violin Dialogue by Zanta Hofmeyr, Miro Chakaryan and pianist Olive Sands, Oesjaar with Jannie du Toit , Helena Bester will be paying a tribute to late Greek Singer Nana Mouskouriand then the evening will heat up with a musical performance by Andre Schwarz, Comedian pair Jan van Vuuren and Tats, and ended off with a late night cabaret by Godfrey Johnson.

On Saturday morning on the open stage Florence & Watson and the Sugarbush Mouse will entertain the kiddies,followed by the Black Ties, Hancoand in the afternoon the stage will be rocking with performances by Ruan Ash and Bottomless Coffee. The vibe next to the Rotary Beer Garden and the open stage will be rounded off by the Midas Vintage Car exhibition, and the Lions Potjiekos Competition which starts at 10h00 on Saturday morning The SAVF lady’stea, with Mariette Loubsher – who will be performing her comedy at 10:30 on Saturday morning – Wanneer trou jy… will offer lots of fun and laughter for the ladies and offer the opportunity to also raise funding for the organization. The lady’s tea will be followed by the ever so popular children’s theatre production Liewe Heksie, and the showstopper comedy – Groet die Grotman by Lefra productions on Saturday evening at 20:00.

To end off this wonderful line up an after party by More2Life events will host performing artist Lebb Simons & Co in the Golden circle – on the open stage.Mixed contemporary music and chesanyama platters will set the perfect vibe to end of the Taste of Tzaneen 2019.

Entry fees will be: Thursday – Free entry Friday – 9:00 –18:00 Adults R 50.00 / Children free Saturday – 9:00 – 13:00 R 50.00 adults / Children free 13:00 – 18:00 R 100.00 adults/ Children free After 18:00 adults R 150.00(entrance fee to the after party).
