GALLERY: A night that brought out fun in music and arts
According to the organiser, Denham Zimbudzana, the night went better than he had anticipated and that has him considering planning another night like this.
Denham Zimbudzana hosted a music and arts night at Twig’s Cafe which set out to bring locals together for a night of entertainment.
The evening was described as a memorable and successful night by the event organiser himself, adding that the attendance was a rather unexpected one.

“The crowd was very diverse and the bands played music of all genres to accommodate everyone. We also had poetry sessions which set an eccentric atmosphere,” stated Zimbudzana.
The event had Timothy Varrie and Aqeela Moosa as the MCs and they coordinated the entire evening with a breeze with a few jokes being thrown out to keep the crowd warm and entertained.
Food and drinks offered on the evening were courtesy of Twig’s and everything was “too die for”. Zimbudzana performed later in the evening with his band where the crowd got up to their feet and danced the night away.
“It was amazing to see and experience that. The reception from the crowd left them asking when the next event would be as they enjoyed it so much and that showed me just how needed such times are,” he exclaimed.

When asked if he would be planning another event as such, Zimbudzana made mention that he would be considering it.
“I mean at the end of the day, we achieved what we wanted. We brought people out to enjoy themselves through what local artists had to offer and it left them wanting more. So I would say that they should definitely be ready for another night like this very soon,” he concluded.
