TZANEEN: Traffic lights still down at Lifestyle Centre crossing

Who has right when it comes to traffic lights being out of order, especially when it comes to the biggest intersection of Tzaneen?

LETABA HERALD had multiple complaints from the community regarding the traffic light on the intersection of R71 and Danie Joubert street (across Tzaneen Lifestyle Centre).

We might think traffic lights has no impact to our daily routines but for a traffic light being down at least three weeks changed people’s thoughts.

Residents are hassling to drop children off at school in a timeous manner due to this.

“Taking different routes is not an option with fuel prices lately and ever since this traffic light is down we all suffer from being stuck in a time consuming situation at the intersection,” one of the residents reported.

The HERALD decided to take it further to the Spokesperson of Tzaneen, Neville Ndlala.

According to Ndlala the traffic light was damaged during a truck accident.

“New equipment was ordered and staff already installed new poles, we are waiting on the main lights to be delivered,” Ndlala explained.
