TZANEEN: Three protests in one day in Nkowankowa
PHOTOS: The streets of Nkowankowa Township outside Tzaneen were a no-go zone area this morning, due to the protests which took place in three separate marches.
Some of Ward 19 and Ward 21 residents in an isolated, but similar case were marching against their ward councillors accusing them of corruption with regards to the hiring process of community projects in the area.
Meanwhile the EFF had a legal ‘Fees Must Fall’ march against public schools in the Nkowankowa Circuit.
The party says it wants the schools to stop asking learners for fundraising money or any other projects, and to stop withholding their reports and Grade 12 results statements if they don’t pay the money required by the school.
