TZANEEN: Family wants justice for son

The mother of a 22 year old man who is believed to have been beaten to death in Khujwana Village outside Tzaneen in September says she wants justice to prevail in honour of her son.

Precious Ngwenyama spoke to The HERALD on Wednesday at the Nkowankowa Magistrate Court after attending the court appearance of the three suspects accused of beating her son, Xikombiso Ngwenyama to death.

Xikombiso died few days after he was admitted in hospital.

“My son died a cruel death, what is painful is that he was tortured by people who knew him from a young age.

“He was my only son and now he is taken away from me.

“I want justice to take its course, people who did this to my son must pay for what they did to him,” explained Ngwenyama.

The community of Khujwana Village came in support of the Ngwenyama family at Nkowankowa Magistrate Court recently.

The family of the deceased also expressed their disappointment in the manner in which their case was treated by the police.

“We followed the police around, just to make the arrests.

“Why is that the people who were involved in the crime were five and only three people are arrested,” asked Ngwenyama.
