Giyani: New SAPS Satellite Station opened

The satellite station will operate 24/7.

In a concerted effort to strengthen the fight against crime, the South African Police Service in Limpopo have moved a step ahead by ensuring that service delivery is accelerated in bringing service next to the people.

The Limpopo Commissioner of the South African Police Service, Lieutenant General Nneke Jim Ledwaba opened the Mulamula Satellite Police station in the Malamulele area outside Giyani on Friday October 12.

“This Satellite station will operate 24/7 and attend to all complaints including the prevention of all the crime categories especially problematic once such as murder, robberies, rape, burglaries at businesses and residential places,” Col Moatshe Ngeope said.

It will service 18 villages which are as follows : Dakari, Mbalati, Salani, Mapimele, Machele, Xihosana, Nhobelani, Dumela, Muswane, Malamula Photani, Malamula Vukeya, Xigamani Macevele, Velez, Xigamani Basekiti, Phaphazela, Gumbani, Mokhomi Mahala, Mokhomi Mutshwetshwe and Mukhomi Basani.
