The 2017 learners says they were promised to be paid 50% of the their National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) money but to no avail.

“When we registered our courses we were told to pay 50% of our course money and then the rest of the 50% would be paid back to us when NSFAS pay.

“In March we were told to submit our bank statements so that we can receive our money, a week later after that some students received the money.

“But most of us, still have not received a thing and when we ask they tell us that they don’t know of students who did not get paid,” explained one student of the Letaba TVET College.

On Monday the students in Tzaneen burned the rubbish in front of the gate and some shouting we want our money and it is believed that a similar thing was happening in the Maake Campus.
