According to NSPCA Inspector, Mpho Mokoena, three cattle, one of which was pregnant, were beaten with a panga by Clatious for allegedly eating mielies on this property. Two of the cattle were already dead when the owner arrived on the property.

Ligaments on the legs of the cattle were cut so that they could not walk and one was bludgeoned over the head.

The third animal was left with a badly broken leg and was later euthanized.
