Liversage still in police custody

The member of the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa was arrested on August 17.

Samuel Liversage (68) appeared before the Hoedspruit Periodical court on October 2, where his case was postponed to November 28 and remains in police custody.

The member of the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa was arrested on August 17 following the discovery of horns and tusks at Sandringham Game Reserve.

“11 hunting rifles, four of which are unlicensed, over 1300 rounds of live ammunition and over 150 empty cartridges were seized by the police from the farm manager,” Police spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidoo said.

All 11 rifles, including the licensed weapons, were confiscated and sent for ballistic testing.
