The school was established in 2013 with a goal of creating an environment that allows pupils to own their learning, as well as teach academic skills, foster intellectual habits and cultivate the character traits needed for pupils to thrive in school and in life.
The school offers extra classes for English, Mathematics, Science and Technology and Religious studies on Saturdays. The children were addressed by Dr Ntsako Mukansi, whom just like her mother, the late Lizzy, is passionate about education and the success of learners.
She inspired them by telling them how she has conquered challenges she experienced during her school days.
Co-founder of the school, Isaac Mukansi, said they have found a solution that will change the lives of learners and by going the extra mile learners will excel in all subjects they were previously doing badly in.
“We would like to appeal to school principals, teachers, SGB members, parents and church leaders to engage with us for the betterment of our society,” said Mukansi.
He added that the R150 fee per month is for them to be able to pay the dedicated teachers who sacrifice their weekends to assist the learners.
They are currently sponsored by Colaborare C.C and are looking for more sponsors. Interested parties can email Mukansi at mukansiike@gmail.com.
