Fraudster denied bail
A 33 year old man accused of fraud was denied bail on Monday by the Modjadjiskloof Magistrate Court.
The Hawks spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke, said Samuel Ricardo Bila allegedly opened clothing credit accounts at various shops in Limpopo and even bought a car using the names of the complainant in July 2012.
“The matter was reported to the Hawks who conducted an intensive investigation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect in Johannesburg in May,” said Maluleke.
He added that a driver’s license issued in the names of the complainant was found in Bila’s possession during the arrest.
His case was postponed to May 23 for formal bail application and the investigation on the matter is still continuing.
