GALLERY: Tzaneen’s dam workers go on strike

The contract workers of the Department of Water and Sanitation construction site in Tzaneen have been conducting lunchtime picketing for about two weeks over termination of employment letters.

They were supposed to be the ones conducting the raising of the Tzaneen Dam wall and the Nwamitwa Dam but they claim the contracts have been given to private contractors.

On Friday, April 7  they protested and blocked the gates of the Tzaneen (DWS) construction site.
