HOEDSPRUIT: Maruleng community members demand a new committee
Maruleng ward 5 community members are on their way to submit a memorandum of demands to the acting Municipal Manager of Maruleng Municipality, Christopher Chamano.
Chanting slogans like “Maruleng Municipality never ceases to amaze us”.
They say public representatives within the municipality should stop victimizing members of the community.
This comes after ward 5 councillor, Rebecca Malepe, is said to have abused her power and put community members behind bars.
The community demands the municipality employ local directors who will be able to understand their people’s crisis, and set a date for a new committee to be elected.
