District sends elders to Kruger Park
The Executive Mayor of Mopani District Municipality, Nkakareng Rakgoale, pampered elders at the Kruger National Park (KNP) last week.
The 50 golden boys and girls came from the five municipalities under mopani and were selected from different elderly persons’ forums.
They spent spent three days and two nights at the Mopani Restcamp and had all their meals at Tindlovu Restuarant.
On day one the executive mayor hosted a gala dinner in which the elders were addressed by the acting mayor of the district, Anna Sono and were given goodies for the excursion.
Some of the places they visited include Shingwendzi Camp, Pafuri Border and Pafuri Village in Mozambique.
” Iam so happy that the mayor brought us here to come and see wild animals and to be able to mingle with my peers,” said Elizabeth Baloyi, one of the people who visited KNP.
