UPDATE: Cyclone Dineo storm fells trees near Tzaneen
Road users and residents alike are to take caution.
Whether branches being torn off, or entire trees uprooted, several trees have been blown over in and around the Tzaneen area.
In Magoebaskloof near the Warriors turnoff both lanes are blocked by a fallen tree. And on the R36 towards Letsitele just outside Tzaneen a large branch has broken off into the road, disrupting traffic on a full lane.
In Circle drive in town, municipal workers have blocked off the road to remove a tree that fell around 1am this morning. Retired dentrologist Mike Amm had estimated the tree’s age to be around 150 years old.
