UPDATE: Dineo intensifies as NASA certifies her a cyclone

Tropical storm Dineo has been growing from strength to strength and has now officially been classified a cyclone by NASA, according to Storm Report.

Just yesterday Dineo was regarded as simply a tropical disturbance, but NASA has hastily updated her status to a cyclone, with wind speeds exceeding 60km/h and wind gusts growing at 100km/h+ according to VentuSky.

VentuSky’s predictions show that Dineo will have enveloped Mozambique and break the South Africa-Mozambique border on Thursday morning.

VentuSky shows that rainfall has also intensified in and around the cyclone since 02:00 this morning with precipitation coming in at 100mm+ in the last 12 hours.

It is predicted that Dineo will breach the South Africa-Mozambique border early Thursday morning and will envelop the Tzaneen/Letaba area by Friday.

VentuSky further forecasted that Dineo will cover the Tzaneen/Letaba area by early Friday morning bringing with her 20mm+ worth of rainfall.

Expected rainfall for Friday morning is around 20mm+ in the Tzaneen area, so either get those speedo’s ready, or simply snuggle up and stay indoors.
