PHALABORWA: A salute to SAPS’s best in SA

Maluleke was honoured for her achievement with the Deputy Ministry Award of Best Detective.

Warrant officer Lutendo Maluleke and constable Mahlako Napo stationed at the Phalaborwa police station in Limpopo have won awards on the 2017 National Prestige Awards that were held on January 23.

Maluleke was honoured with her achievement and received the Deputy Ministry Award for Best Detective trophy.

Her success was rewarded by a higher rank promotion to acknowledge her hard work.

Maluleke has been with the police department since 2004 to date and has proven to be a dedicated employee of the SAPS as she has won multiple awards.

“I am extremely happy to know that my work is recognised nationally, and this proves that police officers are not lazy people who sleep throughout the day whilst on duty,” said Maluleke.

Conjointly, constable Napo won the Sportswoman of the year award.

Inasmuch as her duties are mainly to patrol and arrest, she is also an astute sportsperson who participates in the SAPS’s sports programmes at provincial and national levels.
