TZANEEN: Popular Guest House will be up and running soon

Locals don't have to fret as restoration and clean-up has already started at the Maxim's Guest House, restaurant and pub after a massive thunderstorm literally blew their roof off.

No one was injured during the storm and customers still hung around to finish their drinks and help with clean up.

The manager, Bertie Nel and owner, Duncan Bothma is happy to announce that the popular restaurant just outside of Tzaneen will soon be up and running again, most probably even in the next two weeks.

Nel has received tonnes of calls from locals to offer help and would like to thank the whole community for their efforts.

It is not only Maxim’s as many members of the community have suffered loss or damage due to the storm on Thursday.

People in and around Tzaneen have measured more than 100mm of rain since yesterday.
