Soccer tourney kicks off this Sunday
Mathole Bus Services sponsored football development tournament take place in various areas in Greater Letaba from April 17 and end with the finals on May 2 .
According to the publicist and coordinator of the tournament, Peter Maluleke, the competition’s games will be played at Sekgopo, Mokgoba, Kgapane, Madumeleng and Mokwakwaila/Matipane areas.
Maluleke said 16 teams will fight it out in the competition which carries R 6000 first prize money, a trophy and gold medals.
He said the team which obtain position two will receive R 5000 plus a trophy and silver medals. The third placed team will walk away with R 4000 in cash plus bronze medals. R 2000 consolation prize money will go to the team which obtain position four.
“Each team will receive a full soccer kit and a ball courtesy of sponsors. Transport for teams will be provided by the sponsors as well,” said Maluleke.
