Mob kills suspected murderer
A suspected murderer was killed by a mob at Ga-Malematja Village in Bolobedu on Sunday afternoon.
Collen Bopape (24) who was accused of being responsible for the death of a local resident last week died after he was brutally assaulted by enraged members of the community.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said a group of residents went to the victim’s home in the village and forcefully took him to the headman’s kraal.
“On arrival at the headman’s kraal, Bopape was brutally assaulted with various objects until he died and was left lying in a pool of blood,” said Ngoepe.
Ngoepe appeals to members of the community to refrain from taking the law into their own hands but let the law take its course.
