Six Leapday babies at MediClinic Tzaneen
As most people know, 2016 is a Leap year and Leap day, which only occurs once every four years on February 29 is quite a special day, especially when a baby is born on this day.
MediClinic Tzaneen was quite busy on this day with a total of six babies that was born. The first baby, Malwandla Dzavana, made her arrival at 13:20.
Her parents are Elinah Dzavana and Sibusiso Mgimeti.
The second baby, Wian Engelbrecht, was born prematurely on 35 weeks at 18:20 and is currently in Neonatal ICU.
He was delivered by dr Shani van den Heever.
His parents are Yvonne-Marie Engelbrecht and Willem Engelbrecht. Milner Malan, the third baby that was delivered by dr Shani van den Heever at 18:45 was also born prematurely at 36 weeks and is also currently in Neonatal ICU.
His parents are Suzanne Malan and Francois Malan.
Baby number four of Tarryn Leigh Railton and Keith Railton was born at 17:39. Reilly Railton was delivered by dr A Botes.
Nathi Ndzuna, baby of Leaster Sithole and Smiley Ndzuna was born prematurely at 35 weeks and is currently in Neonatal ICU.
He was delivered by dr Haber at 20:20.
Letaba Herald couldn’t get the name or time of birth for the sixth baby.
