Electricians give back to school on Mandela Day

Electricians at a local electrical company celebrated its 25 years of existence by giving back on Mandela Day.

MJM Electrical team spent the day at Shiphamele Primary School in Matiko Xikaya, undertaking much-needed electrical repairs and restorations. The school governing body, led by its chairman, Kingsley Ndubane, welcomed the team. “We are grateful that they chose our school for this remarkable initiative,” expressed Ndubane.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and gratitude as the team got to work. The CEO, Larry Khuvutlu, thanked the school for its openness and cooperation. He emphasised the company’s commitment not only to fixing the school’s electrical issues but also to educating learners about electrical engineering as a career and the importance of electrical safety.

As the day progressed, the collaborative effort was palpable, with everyone working in high spirits and demonstrating a shared commitment to community service. The initiative not only addressed immediate electrical safety and functionality issues but also fostered a spirit of cooperation and community engagement. “This day highlights the power of unity and service,” said Khuvutlu.
