Ba-Phalabora residents suspend strike

A settlement has been reached to end a four day protest action by residents of Makhushane, Maseke and Mashishimale.

Residents went on rampage from Sunday evening burning trucks and a bakkie to get the Palaborwa Minning Company to address their grievances regarding job opportunities.
Now life is back to normality with schools operating, buses also ferrying commuters, the malls operating and other businesses also operating. Police visibility is still rife to maintain law and order.
Meanwhile, though the strike is off, the Mashishimale road is still closed regarding speed bumbs and humps while the funeral of Peter Maluleke who died in police custody will be held on Saturday at Majeje after the memorial service conducted on Wednesday.
The Majeje community is still unwavering that Chief Mlungisi Ntsanwisi, his tribal officials and police contributed immensely in the tribal offices being torched because according to the community, the Chief was trying to hide sensitive information as they have already handed over their grievances to the HAWKS and the Public Protector, but nothing has come out of that.
