Early lead for Instant Lawn

The Herald Bowls Business League started on Thursday last week with the team from Instant Lawn taking an early lead in this winter edition of the league.

Large Security was in second place on the log following the first match and will face the team from Instant Lawn in this week’s round of the league. “We are happy to be in the top half of the log. “This is a team effort, we had a good game against Laeveld Agrichem last week and we are looking forward to taking on Instant Lawn again tonight,” said Cliff Large from Large Security on Tuesday afternoon.

BB Motors Ford took the third spot on the league table followed by the team from Champs Boxing Academy. Last week Kallie Mamba’s players faced the team from Letaba Herald. The Herald had a good start but had to bend the knee losing the game with 6-12 as the final score. This victory for Kallie Mamba gave them the fifth spot in the league standings.

Even though the Herald lost the match and is placed in 17th position on the log, this is the first time they could break into the top 20 teams. After the first round of play the defending champions, Roumen Farms, were in eighth place on the log, they will play against Prima Petroleum in the second round. Smit & Kie Brokers is in ninth position and will take on the megafarmers, ZZ2 in the second round.

This week’s league games took place on Tuesday night to accommodate the players and businesses who are attending the Letaba Show. The remainder of the teams will be in action on Thursday evening.
