Runners enjoy the Iron Crown Trail Run in Haenertsburg

Crispen Muchemwa was the overall winner of the 22km race followed by Jacques Buys and Simphiwe Ngeva in second and third place, respectively. Leon Roode took fourth place overall and Sibongile Ngeva took fifth place. Shannon Young was the first woman to cross the finish line in the 22km race. Carla Fullard and Eden O’Neill took second and third place followed by Tary-Maie Kuhn in fourth place.

Olivia Scarborough won the junior division and George Machaka took first place in the men’s junior division. In the 10km race, Ella Wienk and Miné Meyer took first and second place respectively in die junior division and Yusha Khan Patel and Caylimm Bosman took first and second place in the junior men’s division. In the 10km open division, Chantal Tattersall was the first woman to cross the finish line. In second place was Caitlin Leslie and third place went to Catherin Claassen.

Lebo Mohale won the men’s open 10km race with Francois Nothnagel in second place and Schalk Kole in third place. The organisers from the Haenertsburg Rotary Club thanked Talisman Hire Polokwane, Magoebaskloof Hotel, Rodney Cooper Estates, ZZ2, Premjee Cash & Carry Tzaneen, The Art Gallery, Iron Crown Pub & Bistro, Memory Hold the Door, T-Mart, Johan Ellis, Pot & Plow, Blueberry Heights, The Eatery, The Village Grocer, Safari Liquor & Deli and Stella’s for sponsoring the event.
