Enjoy the beauty of the Timbavati
Entries are open for the Timbavati Traverse which will take place on July 8 this year with the event offering three unique opportunities to participate.
Runners can take on a 21km route or a 45km route and the option to walk the 21km route is also available participants will be guided by qualified guides through this world-renowned nature reserve. The guides ensure the safety of participants. These routes were designed to not only challenge the participants but also to showcase the beauty of the Timbavati.
Each route has water points every 7km which are fully catered for with energy-boosting snacks, water, and energy drinks. The 2022 route exposed beautiful, rugged dirt track terrain which put runners and walkers to the test.

The previous route highlighted some of Timbavati’s unique features such as giant Baobabs and breathtaking mountain views but most of all showcased some exhilarating sightings of general plains game as well as some of the Big Five such as elephant, buffalo, white rhino and even leopard.
