XCO mountain bike race this weekend
Tzaneen Cycling Club will be hosting their second XCO MTB race this Saturday June 20 and first Ever Enduro MTB event on Sunday June 21.
Amazing single track riding in the Agatha forest on the R523 road opposite the Municipal landfill site.
Race program XCO: Saturday – 7:00 – Line entries open – all categories, 7:30 – Entries close for sub-juniors and younger (ages 7 – 14)
8:00 – Â U/8-U/12 Race start (Special kids track), 8:30 – Entries close for all other categories, 9:15 – Youth (u/14-u/18) race start, 10:30 – All other categories race start, 12:30 – Prize giving (prizes to 1st 3 positions in each category)
Entry fees – R100 entry fee for all, CSA day license, R35 extra if applicable, not for U/14 and younger
Categories – Nippers U/8 & U/10, Sprogs U/12, Sub Juniors U/14, Youth U/16, Juniors U/18, Seniors, 19-29, Sub Vets 30-39, Vets 40-49, Masters 50-59, Grand masters 60+
Race program:Â Enduro – Saturday June 20, from about 12:00 to 14:00 – Free practice. An ambulance service will be available.
Sunday June 21 – 7:00 – 8:00 – Registration and number plate collection, 8:00 – riders briefing and ride to the top, 8:30 – 12:00 – race, 12h30 – prize giving
Entry fees – R200 on the day, R35 CSA day license
Race format – 2 stages to cover twice each – The 4 times will be added to determine the winner in each class
Categories – Men – Women – Hardtail
ER24 will be on site during the race
Food and drinks will be available to buy.
Very nice spectating points, take a camp chair and go and enjoy the day.
