Ma-indies Ladies FC loses in front of home crowd

City Lads FC won 2-0 against Ma-indies Ladies FC in a Hollywoodbets Super League match played on Sunday afternoon at the Giyani Stadium.
This female league is played at PSL level and it was important for both teams to win in order to up their position in the league’s log.
However, Ma-indies FC failed to make any noticeable impression despite playing on their home ground.

City Lads was the dominating team throughout the match right from the start.
If not ruled out as off-side, City Lads could have recorded their first goal only three minutes into the game.
The host team’s defense looked weak in the face of goal-hungry City Lads strikers who were driven by a need to improve their position.

Sitting in position 13 in the league with only 19 points out of 24 matches played; a loss on Sunday would have sunk them further down to the bottom of the list to face the prospect of a relegation axe.
Ma-indies FC on the other hand had 41 points out of 25 matches and were sitting comfortably in position 8 in the league, hence they appeared the favourite to win the match before the game started.
However, the City Lads turned the tables on them by constantly breaching their defense at the back.

This forced the host team to play a defensive ball leading to a goal-less first half. The breakthrough for the City Lads came in the second half when Ma-indies’ defense appeared to be even weaker due to exhaustion.
They captalised on this opportunity, and sneaked through the weak defense to register their first goal against the host team.

It did not take long before another goal for the City Lads came in for a final nail into Ma-indies FC’s coffin, which ended the match at 2-0 against the host team
