ZZ2 wins business league
The second rounds of the Summer "Barefoot in the Park" Business league bowls took place at the Duiwelskloof Bowling Club from February 12 to March 12.
The competition attracted 8 teams in total and after week 3, the league was split into 2 categories, namely Open (top 4) and Plate (bottom 4). The Open teams retained their points to date, while the Plate teams restarted from scratch.
Open section: The ZZ2 Men’s Team played the 5th week against last year’s winners, the Red Devils. Despite the Devils winning this last closely contested game, the ZZ2 Men’s team won the tournament overall.
Plate section: The Trophy Motors team had a narrow encounter against the Vrystaat team! Both teams ended on 16 points, but the aggregate shot difference between the two teams was 12 versus 8 shots!
Well done and well played to all teams that participated. Great fun, food & festivities were enjoyed by all and the organisers look forward to the next league later this year!
The club thank all the teams that supported the league, as well as the committee and club members who made the effort to make this a successful tournament. There hard hours and effort is highly appreciated.
