The two times South African Music Awards (SAMA) nominee, In Zion of Christ, recently released and launched their very first 12 track praise and worship instrumental album titled O Mohau. The album features songs in local languages such as Xitsonga and Sepedi. Some of the songs include Hitaya hi yava vona, Sedi la di chaba and many more local language tracks. “By singing in our vernacular, we try to promote our heritage, province and languages. The album is also a celebration of the 25 years of the group’s formation in the rural village Julesburg in Tzaneen. The group is currently based in Namkgale with most members attending school, work and some being residents of Phalabrowa.

“The album comes at a time when our country is faced with so many challenges, such as crime and gender-based violence. “The community of Phalaborwa has been dealing with the recent killings of residents, and the rise of Covid-19 cases. “Through our music we hope to unite the people of Limpopo and send a message of hope with songs such as Getsemane and O Mohau.
